Heavy fighting between army and paramilitaries

The heavy fighting in the capital Khartoum continued into Sunday night. At least 56 people are said to have been killed. The escalation has the potential for civil war.

The military spokesman on Thursday warned the paramilitary group Rapid Support Forces that tensions could escalate.
