Heavy rain again in Saudi: many areas under water

Heavy rain once more in Saudi. Many areas were inundated due to heavy rains in the western region. Rain is accompanied by strong winds. The civil defense has warned that the rain will continue tomorrow and people should be cautious.

Heavy rain fell in Tabuk region, Duba Al-Waj, Umluj, Medina and Yambu today. Some streets in Tabuk area were flooded with rainwater. Many areas were flooded. Traffic was disrupted due to boulders falling on the roads. Madinah-Al Ula road has been temporarily closed in both directions due to waterlogging of the roads due to rain, the road safety force said. The security forces said that the passengers who have to go through this route should go through Al Ula – Khyber.

Electricity towers fell to the ground in Dubai in Tabuk province due to strong winds. Due to this, power supply was disrupted in various areas. Efforts have been made to restore traffic flow in low rainfall areas by draining water from roads and removing other obstructions. The civil defense and meteorological department said that rain is likely to continue tomorrow and people should be alert.
