Today, Damietta governorate witnessed relatively stable weather, with a slight rise in the water level of the Nile River continuing, as well as a noticeable drop in temperatures and wind speeds, but a wave of bad weather suddenly hit the governorate a short while ago.
Dr. Manal Awad had issued strict instructions regarding the implementation of the emergency plan for receiving rain, which was represented in the spread of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation equipment in the streets of the governorate and immediate dealing with any accumulations resulting from the rain, in addition to the intensification of campaigns to purify the rainwater drains. And opening traffic axes in the areas witnessing development works to prevent congestion.
And the governor of Damietta noted that the operations room is constantly convening to continuously follow up on any emergencies that occur as a result of possible rains and deal immediately with them, in addition to allocating numbers to receive complaints from citizens.
