Heavy rain in Twaif; Al Hada Road is temporarily closed

Twaif | Makkah, Madinah, Abaha and Taif received heavy rains. Schools in Jeddah, Makkah, Madinah, Albaha and other places have been declared closed due to the weather warning.

The National Meteorological Center had earlier warned of heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.

Taif Municipality warned people to stay away from valleys and swamps and advised citizens to report any water accumulation following rains through the municipal communications phone number 940.

Taif Mayor Engineer Nasser bin Daifallah Al-Ruhaili said that Taif Municipality has prepared 50 field task forces to deal with emergency situations. The Road Security Force said Al-Hada Road was temporarily closed in both directions for the safety of visitors.

According to the National Meteorological Center, moderate to heavy winds are expected in the Asir region and the governorates of Hail, Al-Qasim, Najran, Jazan, Makkah Al-Mukarrama, Riyadh and Al-Sharqiya from Sunday to next Thursday.
