Heavy rains in Aragua state leave 3 municipalities flooded

The continuous hours of heavy rain in the Aragua statecaused flooding in the municipalities of Girardot, Mario Briceño Iragorry and Francisco Linares Alcántara.

In the morning, Civil Protection officials and other agencies were deployed in the affected areas carrying out permanent monitoring, due to the swelling of some streams and rivers, a product of the hours of intense rain in the region, which began on Monday night and continued until early Tuesday morning.

Faced with this situation of vulnerability, the inhabitants demand that the authorities evict them or relocate them because their homes are close to Lake Valencia.
