Heavy thunderstorm moves over Bern
It is currently hailing heavily in the Bern region. Anyone outside should be careful. There is an improvement around 10 p.m., meteorologists say.

Meteorologists had announced light thunderstorms in the lowlands for Wednesday evening. The reality, however, is hailstorms that are currently falling in the Bern region, as shown by Blick readers. There are several reports from Sumiswald BE, among others, readers report that the hail has lasted for more than an hour.
When asked by Blick, the Federal Office for Meteorology confirmed that it was originally thought that such severe storms would only be seen in the mountains today.
Caution is advised until 10 p.m
But now you can see that from the southern foot of the Jura to the Bern region – more north of the cities of Bern and Thun – there should be more violent thunderstorms until around 10 p.m.
If you are out and about, you should therefore be careful. Photos from Blick readers show grains several centimeters in diameter.
After that, a new thunderstorm would come up, which would then discharge over central and eastern Switzerland in the first hours of Thursday morning. According to the meteorologists, it is not yet certain how strong this will be. But because it was so hot today, this could also be violent. (of)
