The Tunisian Ministry of Defense announced, on Thursday, the recovery of the bodies of two of the helicopter crew that fell at sea, off the coast of the city of Bizerte, with 4 people on board.
The Tunisian Ministry of Defense had announced, in a previous report, the loss of contact with a helicopter that was in the process of carrying out a night flight mission in the Cap Sirat region (Bizerte) on Wednesday evening, with 4 crew on board.
A statement from the Ministry of National Defense said: “Following up on the incident of the loss of a helicopter in the Cap Sirat area on Wednesday night, the Ministry of National Defense confirms that the helicopter fell at sea.”
The communication added: “The specialized diving units of the Sea Army are currently carrying out the process of recovering the bodies, as two bodies and parts of the wreckage have been recovered so far. The search process is still ongoing.”
