The owner of the house filed a lawsuit, in which he demanded (Abondi) to pay the rent arrears in full.
Abundi appealed to the white-handed people to extend a helping hand to him and help him manage the accumulated rent arrears, especially since he was threatened with imprisonment.
He told «Emirates Today», explaining his suffering that he is going through, that he has been working in the country for more than 25 years, and he has lived with his wife (a housewife) and five children a decent and stable life, free of difficulties and obstacles. He used to receive a monthly salary of 17 thousand dirhams, from which he paid the bank installments (5000 dirhams), the house rent, and the children’s school expenses, and the remaining part went to the family’s needs of food and drink.
And he continued that his financial situation began to turn upside down, in March 2021, after his employer told him that it intended to reduce his monthly salary to 14 thousand dirhams, which led to the accumulation of debts and obligations on him, and their exacerbation day after day, bringing him the way to separation from his wife, This led to an increase in financial and psychological pressure on him, as he had to pay 4,000 dirhams for children’s alimony, which made him completely unable to pay the rental installments, which amounted to 76,445 dirhams.
He emphasized that he explained the deteriorating financial situation he was going through to the owner of the house, in order to give him a deadline to pay, but he was unable to save even a small part of the arrears, and all his attempts failed.
(Abondi) confirmed that he searched for a solution to his problem, and knocked on all doors, and took all the roads, but that all his efforts were in vain, and currently he does not know how to act in light of the difficult circumstances he is going through, appealing to people with merciful hearts and good people to help him in managing the value of the rent arrears. , and protect him from being evicted from the house.
