A 25-year-old woman who left her four dogs in her car while she had dinner has been charged with animal cruelty following they died.
Tesia White, a young woman from Missouri, was on a trip to Florida, CNN reports.
Police say she left her four dogs, an adult goldendoodle, a boxer and two goldendoodle puppies, in the car while she and her boyfriend went to eat at a restaurant in New Smyrna Beach.
When they returned to their car, they told police they found the four dogs unconscious and called 911.
The person who called 911 said he came out in the middle of dinner to check on the dogs and they were fine. But when they returned to the car at the end of the meal, the air conditioning would have been turned off.
“They accidentally turned off the air conditioning in the car and were locked in a car in which it was very hot and now they are lying on their side and neither of them is moving”, can we hear in the call. to 911 obtained by CNN.
All four dogs died and the owner was arrested a few hours later.
She is now being held in jail on $10,000 bond.
