The six episodes of the documentary series Harry et Meghan are finally all available on Netflix. The last three were dropped this week and take viewers into the hell the couple – and principally Meghan, have been through extremely badly by the British press – since their marriage in May 2018. Here are 10 of the couple’s many shocking quotes taken from of the last three episodes.

“Enough of this pain, enough of this suffering!” Prince Harry
Prince Harry often draws parallels between what his mother, Diana, went through and what his wife, Meghan, went through. He launches here the cry from the heart of a son who has lost his mother whom he knew to be suffering and of a husband wishing to protect the woman he loves and the mother of his children.

Meghan has admitted to thinking about suicide while pregnant, harassed and bullied by the British media. Described in the past as always being joyful and loving life, she was no more than a shadow of herself, her close friends confide with emotion in the documentary.

Meghan’s mother, also harassed by the British media all the way to her home in the United States, has always been there for her daughter and her family. Impossible not to have shivers when she tells in her breath that her daughter once confided to her that she wanted to die.

“I hate myself for this”, Prince Harry
Harry explains that he now understands that his wife really needed him during his dark period of depression. “I couldn’t be there for her,” he said emotionally. I played my role as ‘royal’ (as I was always taught to do) more than my role as a husband and I hate myself for it.”
‘The media make up and trade stories to make money’, Prince Harry
The Prince explains that the British press has a vested interest in making up stories – or swapping stories with other media, or even the “institution” itself – to sell copies and make money. He and Meghan made it a point to sue the tabloid on Daily Mail when he illegally published a personal letter from Meghan to her father.

The similarities between Princess Diana and Duchess Meghan are many. Just like her mother-in-law, Meghan had no help when she explained to the royal family that she was suffering from depression and needed help. We told her to take it upon herself. Just as Diana had done, Meghan is now speaking openly about this difficult time in her life in order to help those who are hurting.

“I was thrown to eat with wolves”, Meghan
Meghan explains that she did everything in her power to be perfect, not to take up too much space, to be erased and to try to be part of the royal family by following the rules. “Despite everything I did, it was never enough,” said the one who received no help from the family when the British press began to attack her.
‘Most people need someone to blame’, Meghan
Meghan has been repeatedly blamed for ‘stealing’ Harry from his family and his country. “When a man meets a woman and he falls in love, his friends sometimes say: we don’t see him anymore because of you, he spends all his time with you,” she said. Most people need someone to blame for dealing with change.”

This quote has gone around the world in a day, as it confirms that the feud between Harry and his famous brother William is far from over. Harry explains that his brother shouted his disapproval at him during the meeting between Harry, William, their father Charles and the late Queen Elizabeth II over the couple’s decision to abandon the monarchy (in 2020).

Meghan says she lost her baby in the wake of the publication of her intimate letter sent to her father, made public illegally by the Daily Mail. The immense stress caused by this situation for Meghan – as well as her long fight to have her rights respected as a person – is, according to Harry, the cause of her miscarriage.
