This Monday, FIFA is organizing its traditional awards evening at the FIFA-The Best gala. One of the most anticipated awards is for Goal of the Year. The governing body chose to reward Erik Lamela for the Puskas award.
The Argentinian had scored a goal with a scarf in the London derby lost last March. A real masterpiece that allowed him to win the bet. It was his only goal in the 2020/2021 season with Spurs. The winger now plays with Sevilla FC.
As a reminder, the other two finalists were Patrik Schick and Mehdi Taremi.
