Wednesday April 29, 2020. Supererogatory prayers or “Nafila” are highly recommended during the month of Ramadan. These prayers are not obligatory as is the fast of the month of Ramadan for the Muslim but has assured benefits, as taught by the Prophet Muhammad (PSL).
In his book Huratul Hayni, Serigne Souhaibou Mbacké listed prayers to follow for the whole month of Ramadan. For the 8th night of Ramadan, he recommends 2 rakkas with surah Fatiha + surah surah Ikhlass (12 times).
