At the start of his communication, the President of the Republic welcomed the smooth running of the presidential election of March 24, 2024, congratulating the Minister of the Interior, the territorial administration, the electoral administration, the CENA, as well as the defense and security forces whose commitment and quality work enabled the poll to be held in calm and serenity.
The Head of State also welcomed the strong mobilization of voters across the national territory and abroad, as well as the transparency of the vote which confirms that Senegal remains a rule of law.

The President of the Republic also returned to the audience he granted to the observer missions, numbering 2,462, and who gave a positive assessment of the organization of the vote, thus confirming the maturity and anchoring republican of Senegalese democracy, which will experience, since 2000, in 24 years, three (3) alternations in power which took place in peace and stability.
The Head of State also reiterated his congratulations to candidate Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar FAYE, elected in the first round President of the Republic of Senegal, the 5th of independent Senegal. With a view to the installation in the best conditions of the new elected President of the Republic, the Head of State asked the Government, the Minister, Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic and the Minister, Secretary General of the Government to take all necessary measures to ensure, in particular, the preparation of transfer of powers files.

Continuing his communication on the end of the Government’s mission and his satisfaction with the work accomplished with the implementation of the Emerging Senegal Plan, the Head of State took the opportunity of this last Council of Ministers of his magisterium, to thank the Senegalese people who trusted him for twelve years, in the highest office of the Republic.
The President of the Republic also thanked and congratulated friendly countries, technical and financial partners, all Governments, his Cabinet, the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic and all the civilian and military people who have accompanied, since 2012, in its daily action in the service of the Senegalese people.

The Head of State recalled his satisfaction with the remarkable results of the implementation of the Emerging Senegal Plan (PSE) with fundamental achievements in all sectors of economic, social, cultural and environmental life. Which constitutes a notable legacy to current and future generations.
The President of the Republic, finally, paid vibrant tribute to the defense and security forces, to the Senegalese administration in all its components, to the private sector, to religious and customary notables, to young people, to women and to all living forces of the Nation who must continue to work together for a peaceful, reconciled, resilient, prosperous and united Senegal.
Returning to the celebration of Easter, the Head of State sent his warm congratulations and solidarity to the Christian community, on the occasion of Holy Week, and the celebration of Easter.
On the social climate, monitoring and management of internal affairs, the President of the Republic mentioned the celebration of the national holiday of April 4, asking the Minister of the Armed Forces to make all arrangements with the institutional actors concerned, for the good organization of the raising of colors at the Palace of the Republic and the celebrations throughout the national territory.
In his communication, the Prime Minister paid tribute and expressed his sincere thanks to the Head of State and to all the members of the government who, with loyalty, strength and determination, have strived, without release, to the implementation of the orientations of the President of the Republic.
The Prime Minister also returned to the laudatory assessment of the Head of State at the head of Senegal, made of indisputable progress and major achievements to the great benefit of the populations.

• the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad made a presentation on the international situation and the assessment of the diplomatic action of the President of the Republic over the last twelve years;
• the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Equipment and Food Sovereignty made a communication on the monitoring of the 2023/2024 peanut marketing campaign, the 2023/2024 cold off-season campaign, exports horticultural products and agricultural equipment.
