A passerby played the hero by jumping into a river to rescue a little girl who was drowning, several media report.
Last Monday, a seven-year-old girl fell into a river in the city of Qingyuan, China. Carried away by the torrent, the little girl was visibly in distress, her face buried in the water.
A man who was near the watercourse did not hesitate and jumped several meters high to reach the river. He then bravely swam towards the child and managed to save her life by bringing her back to the banks of the waterway.
Other passers-by then made sure the little girl was okay. No injuries have been reported following this incident.
The entire heroic rescue was filmed and the video quickly went viral on the Internet.
