Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah said, “The presence of Israel is a disaster for the entire region,” explaining at the time that a strong Israel was a danger, while a fearful and deterred Israel constitutes a less dangerous and harmful situation for the peoples of the region.

He said in a speech during a celebration honoring the “wounded and captured resistance fighters” that “in light of what is happening in Gaza, the Lebanese, Syrian, Jordanian and Egyptian national interests require that ‘Israel’ emerge from this battle defeated and broken.”

He stressed that, 130 days after the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, we are witnessing “a failure of the Israeli enemy, unable to achieve its goals,” in exchange for “the legendary steadfastness of the resistance fighters in Gaza, heroism that reaches the point of miraculous, and patience that is unparalleled in history.”

Nasrallah announced that “the front in southern Lebanon is a front of pressure, participation and solidarity to weaken the Zionist enemy, its economy and its security until it reaches the point where it is convinced that it must stop its aggression against Gaza.”

On the other hand, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah affirmed that “the positions of power that the resistance axis is experiencing today are due to the blessing of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, which was victorious in days like these.”

In a related context, two people were injured in the “Kiryat Shmona” settlement, north of the occupied territories, after rockets were fired from Lebanon.

Israeli Channel 12 said, “Sirens sounded in Kiryat Shmona on Tuesday.”

She added: “It was reported that two people were injured at the scene of the accident in Kiryat Shmona.”

The Israeli channel did not provide further details about the location of the injury, and there was no immediate comment from the army or police.

Hezbollah stated in a post on the Telegram platform that its members “targeted an Israeli police building in Kiryat Shmona with appropriate weapons and directly hit it.”

The party added that this comes “in support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their brave and honorable resistance, and in response to the Israeli attacks on southern villages and civilian homes, most recently in the village of Talusah.”

In the wake of a devastating war in the Gaza Strip, since October 8, 2023, the Israeli-Lebanese border has witnessed an exchange of fire between the Israeli army on the one hand, and “Hezbollah” and Palestinian factions on the other hand, which led to deaths and injuries on both sides of the border.
