High Alert: Heavy Rain Warning in Kerala with Safety Tips for Fishermen and Coastal Residents

Thiruvananthapuram: The Central Meteorological Department has warned that there is a possibility of heavy rain in the state. A heavy rain warning has been issued in North Kerala. Orange alert has been issued in Kannur and Kasaragod districts. Yellow alert will be in seven districts. Yellow alert in Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Center reports that the monsoon is likely to weaken on Saturday and Sunday.

The Central Meteorological Department said that there is a chance of light rain at isolated places in Thiruvananthapuram and Idukki districts of Kerala and moderate rain at isolated places in other districts in the next 3 hours.

Meanwhile, the National Center for Oceanography and Oceanography (INCOIS) has informed that there is a possibility of a wave height of 2.5 to 2.7 meters along the Kerala coast till 11 pm tonight.
