Jeddah: Saudi Defense Minister Amir Khalid bin Salman, who arrived on an official visit, received a warm welcome in Japan. Japanese Defense Minister Yasukazu Hamada received Emir Khalid bin Salman who arrived in the capital Tokyo. After the national anthems of both countries and the guard of honour, Amir Khalid bin Salman held a meeting with the Minister of Defense of Japan. The two ministers discussed the relations between the two friendly countries, bilateral cooperation in the field of military and defense, developments in regional and international situations, efforts for them and many other issues of common interest.

In the meeting, Chief of General Staff First Lieutenant General Fayad Bin Hamad Al Ruwaili, Minister of State for Executive Affairs Defense Dr. Khalid Bin Hussain Al-Bayari, Saudi Ambassador to Japan Naif Bin Marzooq Al Fahadi, and Hisham Bin Abdul Aziz Bin Saif, Director General of the Office of the Minister of Defense were present. Senior defense officials from the Japanese side were also present.
