The Leuven public prosecutor’s office requested an investigating judge on Saturday evening for attempted murder and armed resistance once morest the two men involved in a high-speed chase across three provinces on Friday. This is what the prosecution announced to Belga.
During the chase, which started in Leuven and ended in Herentals via the E314 and E313, nine officers were slightly injured. One of them had to spend a night in hospital. The two occupants, aged 22 and 23, were stranded in Herentals. Their car crashed and both were arrested. The driver has since been questioned, but is exercising his right to remain silent.
