Thiruvananthapuram ∙ Leader of the Opposition V.D. Satheesan has written to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav demanding that the Vande Bharat Express service allotted to Kerala be extended up to Mangaluru and ensure high-speed rail connectivity in the state by filling up the bends in the railway tracks.
Kasaragod should also be included in the announced Vande Bharat service from Thiruvananthapuram to Kannur. The service should be extended till Mangaluru to complete the connectivity. The Leader of the Opposition also demanded that Vandebharat should be provided with the fastest possible service by filling the curves of the existing railway tracks and improving the signaling system.
