Riyadh ∙ The operation to separate Tanzanian Siamese twins Hasan and Hussain has started in Riyadh. According to the instructions of King Salman and the Crown Prince, the children were brought to Riyadh from Tanzania on a medical flight on August 23.

Dr. The surgical team headed by Abdullah Al Rabia is conducting the surgery at the King Abdullah Specialist Hospital under the King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh. The nine-stage surgery takes about 16 hours. The children are two years old. It weighs 13.5 kg. The examination conducted by the medical team revealed that the twins share the lower part of the chest, abdomen and hips. Abdullah Al-Rabi’a said.
35 consultants and experts from Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Urology, Plastic Surgery and Orthopedic departments are participating.
