Assumption, IP.- According to the established calendar, starting this Sunday, February 1, the Highway Police will begin verification checks on license plates on motorcycles and automobiles that circulate on the country’s routes. Those that do not have badges or have the provisional one with termination 1 will be retained.
The Caminera will stop those vehicles without license plates or with expired temporary license plates and will transfer them to the corralón, announced today the director of the institution, Luis Christ Jacobs.
“We understand that this is going to have a positive impact on the population and those who continue with termination 1 and those who have termination 2 understand that they are going to take care of documenting themselves, which is the primary objective,” said the director in communication with radio 1º de Marzo.
He indicated that the fine for not having a license plate or having it expired is five days’ work.
According to the planned calendar, in February the vehicles that have temporary plates with termination 1 will be retained, in March those with termination 2 and so on until the controls are completed in November with those with termination 0.
Jacob pointed out that the Caminera is determining a new notification system with the Misdemeanor Court taking into account that following six months without the owner having taken any action to regularize the situation of his impounded vehicle, that vehicle can be auctioned according to the new traffic law.
He pointed out that by removing the vehicle from public roads, the owner is already being notified that he has a period of six months to make the pertinent arrangements.
