The Brazilian midfielder is in the process of fixing his contractual situation with the university students in order to stay in their ranks.
One of the bets that Pumas made a long time ago was that of Higor Meritao. The Brazilian midfielder arrived along with José Rogério, of the same nationality, but only one remained in the team after the loan year expired. Higor quickly adapted not only to Mexico City, but also learned to speak Spanish in a good way and knew how to put down roots in our country.
Today, having become an indisputable starter under the scheme not only of Rafael Puente, but also of Andrés Lillini, he is convinced of what he wants for his future. He revealed that both he and the club are in talks to define his contractual situation. Although it was thought that the purchase option had already been validated, the reality is that the loan was renewed for another year.
“I want to stay longer. Hopefully Pumas makes the purchase option of my pass valid. I am very happy here, very happy. My family is happy. Thank God I am here. I had other opportunities, other offers from clubs in the United States, but I am very happy and I want to stay here.“, he expressed in an exclusive chat with Bolavip.
