The great actress, Hend Rostom, is one of the most famous and most beautiful stars of Egyptian cinema and has presented more than 74 cinematic works.

She faced many severe pitfalls during her artistic beginnings, as her father, of Turkish origin, a police officer, refused to work in the artistic field, due to the seriousness and commitment of her father, but she decided to cut her relations with him completely because of this severe refusal.

In her childhood, Hind Rostom suffered from the cruelty of the father and his wife, as her father married and had two sons and another daughter, so she moved to live with her mother and husband, who treated the child with tenderness, so she became attached to him and considered him her father.

The idea of ​​Hind Rostom entering the world of acting came by chance when she was watching a movie by Laila Murad, to get acquainted at the time with a friend who was working in the cinema to advise her to work in the cinema because of her beautiful and eye-catching features. Among the girls who filmed the song “Atmakhtari Ya Khel” when she was 15 years old, and here she decided to enter the world of acting.

Hind Rostom began her artistic life with the movie “Flowers and Thorns” in 1947, starring Madiha Yousry, Yahya Shaheen and Imad Hamdi, during which she presented her first acting work, which met with great success. That’s in her cinematic success.

Hind Rostom died on August 8, 2011 at the age of 79 in a major hospital in Giza, after a short struggle with a heart attack.
