Sharjah, 22nd October / WAM / His Excellency Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Vice President of the Emirates Marine Sports Federation and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, won membership in the International Marine Sports Union “UIM” to be a member of the Board of Directors of the new Federation for the period from 2023-2027. This was during the voting process that was held during the General Assembly in the Dutch capital, Amsterdam.
Al Midfa expressed his happiness with this achievement, which reflects the global confidence that the UAE has achieved thanks to the sponsorship, interest and great support that sports enjoy in its various fields from the country’s wise leadership.
He thanked the UAE Marine Sports Federation, represented by Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa, and the members who are making great efforts in developing marine sports at the Arab and international levels.
Al Midfa stressed that the United Arab Emirates is moving forward in fulfilling its mission and programs and is working through clear strategies to develop new and strong plans to advance marine sports at the global level.
