Hit-and-Run Incident In Côte Saint-Luc: Updates and Investigation

A motorist hit a pedestrian before fleeing the scene Sunday evening in Côte Saint-Luc, on the island of Montreal.

The Montreal City Police Service (SPVM) was called to intervene around 9 p.m. for a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian that occurred on Cavendish Boulevard at the intersection of Heywood Road.

“When the police arrived on the scene, they located a woman on the ground,” explained Sabrina Gauthier, spokesperson for the SPVM.

The victim, aged between 25 and 30, was transported to hospital with apparent injuries to his upper body. The SPVM was still awaiting feedback from medical authorities regarding his state of health at the time of publishing this text.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene of the accident.

“The investigation begins at this stage. Investigators from the collision investigation section are currently being contacted. A viewing of the cameras is also underway in order to trace the vehicle,” said Ms. Gauthier.
