While walking on Brietmattstrasse in Saas-Fee, a woman lost her life on Monday around 3 p.m. following being hit by the small tourist train in the village.
Despite the attempt to resuscitate the emergency services immediately alerted, the pedestrian died on the spot, the cantonal police informed on Tuesday. Its formal identification is in progress.
In collaboration with the police, the Public Prosecutor opened an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
