The coach of the Salavat Yulaev hockey club, Konstantin Koltsov, might have committed suicide at the St. Regis Bal Harbor Resort in Miami. This was reported by the Miami-Dade County Police Department.
“Hockey coach Konstantin Koltsov, whose death was reported today, might have committed suicide,” RIA Novosti reports information from the police department. At the moment, the death of the coach is being investigated; there is no suspicion of a crime.
According to investigators, on the morning of March 18, Bal Harbor Fire Rescue and Police were dispatched to the St. Regis Bal Harbor Resort in Miami. Koltsov’s body was discovered there.
Previously, hockey coach and founder of the Leda club Maxim Zhdanov died in Yekaterinburg during the tournament. According to his wife Lada Krebs, the tragedy occurred in front of her and their nine-year-old son.
