The city of Eilat in southern Israel was hit by a rocket attack by the Yemeni Houthis (Ansar Allah movement). This was stated on the Al Masirah TV channel by the military representative of the movement, Yahya Sari.

According to a Houthi spokesman, several cruise missiles were fired at the city, which is an important Israeli port. Sari claims that the missiles hit all their intended targets. More detailed information has not yet been provided.

In addition, the Houthis reported an attack against an American ship sailing in the Red Sea. A representative of the movement claims that the American tanker Mado was hit by anti-ship missiles. This ship transports liquefied petroleum gas and flies under the flag of the Marshall Islands.

A few days earlier, the Houthis reported that they had attacked the Israeli ship Pacific 01 and an American destroyer in the Red Sea, and three more ships belonging to the United States and Israel in the Indian Ocean. The Houthis launched attacks on Israeli ships in response to the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) military operation in the Gaza Strip, which has already killed tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians.

After the United States and Great Britain launched a military operation in the Red Sea against the Houthis and began launching missile attacks on targets in Yemen, the Ansar Allah movement announced that it would now attack American and British ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. That is, the operation of Western countries, supposedly designed to ensure safe navigation in the region, in fact led to the exact opposite situation.
