Holcim acquires the French PRB

Construction materials giant Holcim announced on Tuesday the acquisition of French company PRB, a manufacturer of special construction products.

The company employs more than 700 people for an estimated net turnover of 340 million euros (353.7 million francs) in 2022.

The amount of the transaction, which must be finalized in the second quarter, was not specified in the press release. The acquisition of PRB is part of Holcim’s strategy to generate around 30% of sales by 2025 with solutions and products for the building sector (roofing systems, insulation and renovation).

The head office of PRB, an independent company founded in 1975, is located in La Mothe-Achard, south of Nantes. The company produces facade plasters, adhesives and floor products, paints and mortars.
