Holcim has signed an agreement to acquire the Belgian company Cantillana, active in facade construction and insulation systems. The acquisition should generate synergies and accelerate the growth of the Solutions & Products division in Europe.
Cantillana, hitherto a family business from the Stadsbader, operates at nine production sites and employs 200 people in Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands. Its turnover is estimated at 80 million euros.
The acquisition comes after the takeover of PRB Group in France, PTB-Compaktuna in Belgium and Izolbet in Poland. These acquisitions are expected to increase Holcim’s Solutions & Products division’s share of net sales to 30% by 2025.
