The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PU-Pera) held Halal bihalal activities at the PUPR Ministry office on Tuesday (16/4) after the Idul Fitri 1445 Hijri holiday both offline and online.
“On behalf of the family and the leadership of the Ministry of PUPR, I wish you a Happy Eid al-Fitr, Minal ‘Aidin wal-Faizin, I apologize physically and spiritually, maybe in a year when we get along in carrying out our duties and mandates there will be something we don’t like,” said Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono at the PU-Pera office .
Furthermore, Basuki reminded all PU-Pera people to interpret Eid al-Fitr as a moment to renew their intention to work in building infrastructure so that it is worth worshiping.
“I want to invite all of us to renew our intention to work at the PUPR Ministry so that it has the value of worship, during the past month in Ramadan we have been trained in various religious activities including work which also has the value of worship,” he said.
By renewing the intention to work as worship, he continued, everything done in building infrastructure can be done as charity.
“For example, the Directorate General of Highways builds roads to be used for going home if the intention of worship is charity. The same is true for building dams for irrigation used by farmers, preparing sanitation, drinking water, Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance (BSPS), Flats, “Special Home, there is not a single job at PUPR that is not worth worship,” he said.

On the occasion of Halalbihalal, Basuki also thanked all PU-Pera people for their cooperation and hard work so that the trust given could be fulfilled.
“To fellow Heads of Centers, each province creates associations between centers so that God willing, PUPR people can remain harmonious together. Because there is not a single job at PUPR that can be claimed by individuals or groups, so everyone must work together,” said Minister Basuki.
Minister of Public Works 2004-2014 Djoko Kirmanto, who was also present at Halalbihalal, hopes that the PUPR Ministry can continue to be at the forefront of the Government in infrastructure development.
“Congratulations on working even harder. Unity and unity are the main capital in solving problems, no matter how big the problem is, if we get along harmoniously it will definitely be resolved,” he concluded.
