The communicator Holi Matos, member of the program “the morning sun”, which is broadcast daily on Zol 106.5 FM, said goodbye yesterday, Tuesday, to the radio space and to his co-workers. The cause of his departure is his recent appointment as the new Dominican consul in Orlando, Florida.
“I’m leaving Zol but I’m still part of this teamRegardless of the lawsuits that you see and hear (the public), or the fury in our comments, we love each other, we feel like family,” Matos said.
After thanking the owners of the station for the trust placed in him over the last 8 years, the journalist took the opportunity to explain to his audience the reasons why he will leave his job at the morning radio.
“I have to leave the program because I am going to perform new functions”, he maintained while specifying that he will have the task of opening a “long-awaited” consulate by the Dominican community that resides in that area.
“Many compatriots are there facing work and personal challenges, we go with the humility that we are going to learn and share with the community”, said the journalist.
Matos worked at “El Sol de la Mañana” since 2014. During that time period, she shared a booth until today with José La Luz, Anibelka Rosario, Julio Martínez Pozo, María Elena Núñez, Euri Cabral, Consuelo Despradel, Lenchy Vargas and Jonathan Liriano.
After listening to the commentator’s farewell message, the other members of the program individually highlighted the qualities that Matos possesses as a professional and colleague. Also, he expressed their good wishes for the diplomatic position that he will occupy.
