At holiday time, small dishes are big, but at what cost?
Before panic sets in, we’ll give you a list of stores open for your last-minute purchases.
What is open
For Carrefour, you will have to turn to Carrefour Market and Carrefour Express. The list of open stores is available via this link.
On the Delhaize side, certain AD, Proxy and Shop&Go are open for Christmas. To find out if your local store is open, you can check ici.
Some Spar independent, Intermarché et Match will also be able to welcome you.
Overall, all stores usually open on Sundays and public holidays will be accessible this Monday. Be careful though, most will only be open in the morning.
What is closed
Like every public holiday, banks, post offices, pharmacies (except those on duty) and municipal administrations will keep their doors closed.
However, post points located in open convenience stores will be operational.
Large supermarkets, such as Colruyt, Lidl, Aldi and Cora, which are not independent or franchised, will also remain closed.
The same is true for most shopping centers in Wallonia and Brussels.
To move
The Stib adopts its weekend schedule this Monday, December 25. The same goes for SNCB.
On the TEC side, the schedule will correspond to the public holiday schedule.
