The sociologist and political scientist Andreas Kranebitter (41) will succeed Gerhard Baumgartner as head of the Documentation Archive of the Austrian Resistance (DÖW) from April 1, 2023. Most recently, the native of Vienna researched the “Ritchie Boys” at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, i.e. those mostly Jewish migrants from Europe who received military training at Camp Ritchie in the USA during World War II, and then primarily in the fight once morest Nazi Germany to be used in interrogations.
