Lech in Vorarlberg at over 1,400 meters above sea level and with the Omeshorn in the background. Many know the small town from skiing. The locals take care of the tourists for a large part of their time in winter, but they also have enough to do in other respects: whether it is the early work in the stables like with the Hubers or leisure activities such as snowshoeing with friends with hiking guide Toni Grissemann, whereby you as an outsider you might have to be brave at minus 20 degrees – that’s not a problem for the local population. In any case, such an excursion is rewarded in one of the last houses in the Zug valley, where there is an old wooden house from the 16th century: the Klösterle. And here the young innkeepers Ethel from Singapore and Jakob from South Tyrol are already preparing for the arrival of the hungry snowshoe hikers.
