Apple has released the first HomePod Software 16 beta update (referred to as HomePod Beta update) for HomePod mini. Currently, both iOS 16 Beta developers or users who upgrade the iOS 16 Beta public beta version can use this method to take the lead for HomePod mini Upgrade to the latest HomePod Beta 16 beta.
How to Upgrade HomePod Beta 16 Beta Tutorial
If you want to upgrade the HomePod to the HomePod Beta 16 beta first, you must first upgrade your iPhone or iPad to iOS 16 beta or iPadOS 16 beta. Open the “Family APP“, click the upper right corner “•••” button, select “Home setting」。
Click “HomePod Beta Update Project” to turn on the HomePod Mini device you want to upgrade to the beta version.
After returning to the HomePod update page again, the HomePod 16 Beta update project will jump out. After waiting for the download, you can update the HomePod mini to the beta version.
HomePod 16 Beta update content?
Apple didn’t say what the new HomePod Beta features are, but Apple is preparing to add the Matter protocol to iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 home automation, which means that the latest HomePod mini beta test version may also support Matter accessories.
