The northeast monsoon brought significantly cooler weather to the coast of Guangdong. In the afternoon, the temperature in many parts of Hong Kong was about 5 degrees lower than yesterday. The Observatory predicts that there will be one or two showers tomorrow, and the weather will turn cold later. The temperature in the urban area will drop significantly from about 18 degrees at the beginning to about 10 degrees at night, and a few degrees lower in the New Territories.
Wong Ka-hing, scientific director of the Observatory, said that it will be very cold on Tuesday, with the lowest temperature in the urban area being about 7 degrees, dense clouds and a few showers, and ice may appear on the highlands. Due to the strong north wind, the wind chill effect is significant, and the temperature felt by the body will be lower than the actual temperature. According to the regional weather forecast of the Hong Kong Observatory, Ta Ku Ling will drop to 2 degrees early Tuesday morning.
