Honor 700 Series: Rear Screen & 200MP Camera Leaked Ahead of November Launch

Honor has unveiled its 700 Series smartphones, a lineup distinguished by a square secondary display integrated into the rear camera module. The series consists of three models: the Honor 700, Honor 700 Pro, and Honor 700S, and is now available for pre-order in China ahead of a late November 2026 launch, TIMES Indonesia reported.

The Rear Screen’s Purpose Remains a Mystery

The most striking design element is the new rear-facing screen. A square display is fused directly into the camera housing on all three models. This screen’s exact functions remain officially undisclosed by Honor. However, the company has confirmed it will serve for notifications and selfie previews, Carisinyal reported. The device’s front face features a full-screen display with thin, symmetrical bezels and a punch-hole front camera. The series is available in four colors: Blue Tone, Cold White, Clear Sky, and Pink Mist.

Performance Divide Between 700 and 700 Pro

A key difference emerges between the standard Honor 700 and the premium Pro model. The Honor 700 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. In contrast, the Honor 700 Pro utilizes the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, as confirmed by multiple outlets including Antara News and Vietnam.vn. According to Digital Chat Station, the Honor 600 series previously used a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, indicating a significant performance leap for the Honor 700 series.

A 9,000 mAh Battery and 200MP Camera for the Pro

The Honor 700 Pro is rumored to pack a massive 9,000 mAh battery to power its high-end features. It is also said to boast a 200-megapixel main camera and a 6.57-inch OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution. The inclusion of a periscope telephoto lens is also anticipated for this top-tier model, according to sources like Carisinyal and Rakyat Bengkulu Online. A source from Digital Chat Station also reported that the Honor 700 Pro will support an 80W wired charger, a 50W wireless charger, and reverse wireless charging.

The 200mm Teleconverter Accessory

Both the Honor 700 and Honor 700 Pro are expected to support an external telephoto converter accessory, a feature typically found in much more expensive devices. This attachment would reportedly extend optical zoom capabilities to an equivalent of 200mm. This “telephoto extender” functionality is a notable detail highlighted by Digital Chat Station and reported by Vietnam.vn, suggesting a focus on enhancing long-range photography for a mid-to-premium audience. Honor has not officially confirmed the size of the rear screen, though a Vietnamese report suggests it may be 1.72 inches.

Memory Configurations

The Honor 700 Pro is expected to be available in two memory configurations: 12GB of RAM with 256GB of storage, or 12GB of RAM with 512GB of storage. Additional configurations for the Pro model are also rumored to include 16GB of RAM paired with 512GB of storage. The standard Honor 700 is reported to have four memory options: 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/256GB, and 16GB/512GB. Information about the Honor 700S’s memory and other specifications remains limited.

Global Launch Details Still Unknown

While pre-orders are open in China, Honor has not announced a global release schedule or pricing. The company has not confirmed if the specifications or availability of the Honor 700 Series will be the same in all markets. Previous Honor series have shown variations between the Chinese and international models, a point noted by Vietnam.vn. The official global launch, including for markets like Indonesia, remains unconfirmed.
