This commitment currently applies solely to the Magic 7 Pro but will extend to future flagship “bar phone and foldable phone” releases.

“”The extended support not only extends the lifespan of devices and reduces e-waste, in line with the sustainability standards, but also ensures users enjoy secure, high-performing devices with the latest AI technology throughout their extended lifecycles,”” Honor stated.

The company also stated that: “”HONOR Magic7 Pro users in the EU are the first to benefit from the support extension. In the future, HONOR will offer the extended support to more flagship models, including bar phones and foldable phones.””

This enhanced support is part of the new Honor “Alpha Plan,” also announced at MWC 2025. This underscores the company’s focus on providing long-term value to consumers while addressing environmental sustainability.

Google was the first to adopt a seven-year update commitment for the Pixel 8 series in 2023, and has since extended it to the Pixel 9. For instance, the AI agent could streamline restaurant bookings by accessing calendar data, considering traffic conditions, and managing existing appointments seamlessly.This demonstrates honor’s commitment to integrating technology for enhanced user convenience and efficiency.

Further, Honor is enhancing image quality using “AiMAGE,” with the “AI Upscale” feature designed to improve existing photos.
