We learned on Monday of the unexpected death of Hassan Idrissi, a well-known figure in the associative, sports and cultural circles of western Walloon Brabant. Hassan Idrissi died this Sunday, he was barely 46 years old.
Living in Tubize, Hassan Idrissi made his name in Rebecq in the early 2000s. Hired as a street educator, his work with young people did not go unnoticed. Very good football player, he is also involved in the clubs of the region. And he actively participates in the launch of the famous Concertos, these low-cost musical events that have animated Rebecquoise life, and more broadly, for several years.
In 2012, Hassan Idrissi was elected municipal councilor in Tubize on the PS list. His score, however, does not allow him to integrate the college. He resigned before the end of the legislature, but returned to politics a few months later, in December 2018. He then took the oath as a Walloon deputy, replacing Dimitri Legasse, who had once again become mayor of Rebecq. He will sit until the 2019 elections before turning the page.
