The head of Government of the city of Buenos Aires, Horacio Rodriguez Larreta, He announced a series of measures so that taxpayers can carry out some procedures without having to pay.
After a review process with the different areas of Government, a bill was prepared that will be sent to the Buenos Aires Legislature, which It contemplates the reduction to zero cost of several non-tax procedures, in addition to the elimination of others. “Full adoption, birth certificates, marriage certificates, death certificates, civil unions, social work certification, food handling courses, spare parts in cemeteries, there are 80 tax rates that we are eliminating in the City of Buenos Aires“Larreta explained at a press conference.
“One of the hardest faces of this context that we are experiencing, suffering, is the inflation that today is already above 100% per year,” he began. “behind that The juggling that families are doing to make ends meet is crazy“, maintained the head of Government. “That is why we are always thinking, from the city government, what we can do to alleviate their pocket and that is why we made a study of the cost of the procedures that people and businesses do every day and we managed to determine which procedures could become free or eliminate them because they are no longer useful,” he explained.
“Today we are going to send a bill so that 80 procedures become free and another 8 are completely eliminated. Added to the 22 who have already voted, we are eliminating 110 tax rates“, detailed Horacio Rodríguez Larreta. This proposal could be implemented as of June, once it is approved.
Finally, regarding the rise in the dollar, Larreta expressed his concern: “It’s hell, Argentines do not know how much money to take to the supermarket on the weekend, because with what happened last weekend you fall shortThey don’t know if they’re going to be able to pay the rent at the end of the month, it’s a drama, you can’t live like this anymore.”

- Rental cars with a taximeter: non-owner driver’s cancellation after the term, cancellation or extension due to expired model, reinstatement, driver’s exemption, 180-day extension for succession proceedings and vehicle registration in the name of another license holder in succession.
Civil registry and capacity of people
The Civil Registry joins the new commitments that seek to alleviate the economic burden on residents, removing tariffs of the following procedures:
- Issuance of items where parishes are included
- Registration of foreign jurisdiction items
- Full adoption (The fee for the trade that enters the Civil Registry is eliminated)
- Proof of registration of civil union
- Dissolution of civil unions
- Signature certification
- Certificate of Coexistence
- Incorporation into social work
The departure request (birth, marriage or death) is part of the procedures with the greatest demand in the City, which during the year 2022 registered an increase in requests of 33% compared to previous years.
