Like Horizon Zero Dawn, the PS5 exclusivity period is coming to an end for Horizon Forbidden West. Clearly Sony Interactive Entertainment will offer a PC version of Horizon Forbidden West in a few months. The meeting is scheduled for the beginning of 2024.
Sony has been trying for years to protect its PS5 console from the onslaught of Gaming PCs by offering exclusive games. Some of these exclusives fortunately do not last forever. For example, we were recently able to enjoy the excellent The Last of Us Part 1.
Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition arrives on PC in 2024
We learn that Sony has decided to offer a PC version of Horizon Forbidden West shortly. The open-world third-person game will be called Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition. The player will play the heroine Aloy in a post-apocalyptic world where living machines are present. It launched on PlayStation 5 and 4 on February 18, 2022.
The PC version does not yet have an exact release date. Sony is only talking about the start of 2024. Distribution will be ensured through different channels including the Steam and Epic Games Store platforms. This will be the full version including all the DLC, including the Burning Shores expansion. There are no details on what improvements might come with this Windows edition. Is support for Ray Tracing and different upscaling technologies planned?
