A hospital in the Iranian capital Tehran caught fire on Thursday. Several floors of a building complex at the Ghandi Clinic were affected by the fire, state television reported. The fire brigade arrived with several fire engines, reported the state news agency Irna. Meanwhile, the ward was evacuated. Initially there was no information about possible victims of the major fire.
The fire is reminiscent of the devastating flaming inferno at the Plasco shopping center in Tehran. Seven years ago, 26 people died in the major fire in the Iranian capital, most of them firefighters. The accident happened last Friday.
