– Hospital Hell Case: Woman Examined for Attempted Homicide
Six months after a long-term kidnapping situation in a hospital inAachenthe alleged suspect appears in court. The 66-year-old is appearing before the Regional Court of Aachen, accused of attempted murder on two occasions, as well as arson. The court revealed this information. It is alleged that she caused a fire that caused damage exceeding 25 million euros at the hospital on March 4. The trial is scheduled to begin on September 3.
According to the allegations, the person had locked herself in the clinic, armed with a fake firearm and an imitation explosive vest. It is alleged that she intended to commit suicide and punish the hospital. After many hours of negotiation, she allegedly approached a police officer brandishing what was believed to be a trigger. Despite instructions to stop, she continued and was subdued by gunfire.
Before this incident, it was reported that she had set fire to her apartment in Eschweiler, nearAachenfollowing a heated family dispute.
The Aachen Regional Court has scheduled a total of five trial days until September 20. According to the court, the defendant is currently being treated in a specialized psychiatric facility.
