Hospital red alert declared in El Espinal

After the incident in which four people died and more than 300 were injured due to the collapse of one of the stands of the El Espinal bullring, the Secretary of Health of the Department of Tolima announced that it would enter a hospital red alert in that municipality.

Through the Twitter account of the Government of Tolimait was reported that El Espinal activated the red alert and that In the rest of the department, an orange hospital alert is declared.

Authorities reported that of the 44 boxes that the bullring has, they fell 8each with a capacity of 100 people.

The Mayor’s Office of El Espinal reported, at a press conference, that the incident left four dead. The victims were identified like Marco Fidel Hernández, 53 years old; Blanca Lidia Sandoval, 63 years old; and a 14-month-old minor, although the ICBF assures that the minor is 3 years old. In the disaster area one person lost his life, identified as Rocío Brochero, 51 years old.
