Hostage Crisis Protests in Jerusalem and Gaza: Latest Updates and Video Clips

Video clips circulated on the “X” platform, formerly “Twitter”, showed family members of the hostages screaming, “You will not sit here while they die there!”, referring to more than 100 hostages remaining in Gaza.

Local reports stated that the protests led to the suspension of the committee meeting.

On Sunday night, individuals set up a protest tent in Jerusalem and pledged to remain there until the government reached an agreement to release some of the hostages.

Relatives of the hostages have been quick to organize their protests in recent days, demanding that the government make more efforts to release their relatives.

These days, the United States, Egypt and Qatar are pushing Israel and Hamas to join a phased diplomatic process that begins with the release of the hostages and ultimately leads to the withdrawal of Israeli forces and an end to the war in Gaza, as diplomats participating in the mediation told the Wall Street Journal on Sunday evening.

Neither side of the conflict agreed to the terms of the new proposal, which includes steps that conflict with the declared positions of Israel and Hamas.
