The famous British company “Hotel Chocolate” has withdrawn one of its products from the market due to fears that it contains pieces of glass.
Officials at the British Food Standards Agency said that the Hotel Chocolat Choose Your Poison product could cause harm if consumed unintentionally because it contains pieces of glass.
The agency spokesman added, “The possibility of the presence of glass makes this product unsafe to eat. It is sold in Hotel Chocolatiers, John Lewis stores and online.”
A notice on the Food Standards Agency’s website said: “Hotel Chocolat is recalling the product. Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in all stores. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have purchased it.”
