When the emergency services arrived, the officers found an unresponsive person lying on the ground in front of the house, the police reported in a broadcast. The 35-year-old Romanian received first aid from the arriving rescue team and an emergency medical team and was taken to the Salzburg University Hospital for further treatment of the suspected smoke inhalation.
The fire was extinguished after around 30 minutes
The professional fire brigades of Schallmoos and Maxglan, who were on site with five vehicles and 18 firefighters, and the volunteer fire brigade in Gnigl, who supported the extinguishing operation with one vehicle and ten men, were able to extinguish the fire after around thirty minutes.
