Firefighters from the Val de Sambre area and police officers from the Jemeppe-sur-Sambre area were called to the scene on Saturday evening around 9:30 p.m. A house was engulfed in flames, rue des Golettes in Spy. It was a neighbor who notified the emergency services. The owner was absent.

When firefighters arrived on scene, flames were destroying the roof. At the time of writing this Saturday evening, the intervention is still in progress.

This fire occurred 48 hours following that of the vehicle parked in front of the same property. If the emergency services and the police noted the intervention of a third party for this first event, the causes are, for the second, still undetermined.
