The Wall Street Journal recently reported in an article that the Biden administration will introduce new regulations that will drastically reduce the efficiency of dishwashers.
Joe Biden’s cabinet attacked not only gas stoves and fossil fuels, but now they will also limit the energy consumption of dishwashers. According to new government regulations, manufacturers will have to cut water use by a third by 2027, and dishwashers will have to reduce their water consumption to 3.2 gallons (roughly 13 liters) per cycle, up from the current limit of 5 gallons. The new devices must also reduce the estimated annual energy consumption by nearly 30%.
